What is the wedding date?
The ceremony and party (yes, a party) are scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025.
What time is the wedding?
The wedding starts at 5:30 PM EST and will conclude at 11:00 PM EST. Please be seated by 5:55 PM EST as we start promptly at 6:00 PM EST.
Will there be any events before the wedding?
Yes. There is a Friday Fête. Think of this as a 2-day party.
Dress Code
What is the dress code?
Please come as stylish as possible. There is no colour theme.
What should women wear?
Ladies. Please come fancy!
What should men wear?
Gentlemen. Suits, please. Ties are optional. No sneakers of any kind!
What should couples wear?
Couples. We would love to see you colour coordinated. This is optional.

What is the weather like in Charlotte in September?
It is in the mid to high 20s°C (25°C to 28°C) / approximately 80°F (78°F to 83°F). As the wedding will start at 6 PM EST, it should be in the low 20s°C (21°C to 24°C) / low 70s°F (70°F to 74°F).
Which is the closest (or best) airport to fly into?
CLT - Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The drive from the airport to the suggested hotels is approximately 20 minutes.
Which hotel is best to stay at?
The Hilton Charlotte Uptown (USD 229) or the Hyatt Place Charlotte Downtown (USD 169). They are a 5-minute walk from each other. Click the TRAVEL tab for more details.
Are we able to book the hotel for additional nights at the same rate?
Yes. Please contact each hotel to extend your stay on the front-end or back-end of the room block. The contact details are on the TRAVEL page.
Why did you change hotels?
We moved from one hotel option, Le Méridien, to two options for several reasons. The recent reviews at Le Méridien were concerning. We want to ensure everyone who comes in has a positive, memorable experience. The Hilton Charlotte Uptown (USD 229) and the Hyatt Place Downtown (USD 169) provide you with two options based on your preferences.
What are the local transportation options in Charlotte?
Uber and Lyft. The hotel and venues are within 20 minutes of each other.
Food
Are you accommodating dietary restrictions?
Yes. There will be a variety of options, including chicken, meat, seafood, shellfish, and vegetarian choices. There is no need to identify this when you RSVP.
Are you accommodating religious diets?
Yes. We will accommodate Halal and Kosher requests. Please identify any religious preferences when you RSVP.
Music
What type of music will be played?
Hip-Hop. R&B. Soul. Soca. Reggae. Afrobeats. Slow Jams. Drill. Trap. This will be a party rather than a traditional wedding set.
Will the DJ be taking requests?
No.

This is an adult-focused weekend. Unfortunately, we are not making special considerations for children (under 21).
